Jeffrey Fredrick

Jeffrey Fredrick - VP of Product Management, Agitar

Jeffrey Fredrick is a 15-year veteran of the software industry with a mission to change the way software is created. A founding member of the JBuilder development team, he has been involved in Java tool development since before its 1.0 release. He is currently indulging his passion for development tools as Agitar Evangelist, Vice President of Product Management at Agitar, and as the top committer for CruiseControl. Jeffrey is an experienced speaker and trainer on development techniques and process, having spoken at Gartner Application Development Summits, Javapolis, EclipseCon, Better Software, and the Continuous Integration and Testing Conference. David Saff

David Saff – 2006-2007 recipient of the Agitar Research Fellowship

David Saff is a Ph.D. student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where together with his advisor Dr. Michael Ernst he invented Continuous Testing and Test Factoring. Continuous Testing uses excess cycles on a developer's workstation to continuously run regression tests in the background, providing rapid feedback about test failures as source code is edited. David's previous research includes work on artificial intelligence, intuitive user interfaces, and computing with small distributed devices. In addition to his research activities, David is a lead developer for the JUnit unit-testing framework, and has contributed to the testing capabilities in the Eclipse IDE.

Kent Beck

Kent Beck - Former Agitar Fellow (2004-2007)

Kent Beck is a recognized industry visionary and innovator in software quality. He is the inventor of eXtreme Programming (XP), creator of JUnit - the most widely used testing framework for Java - and he is the author of seminal books about XP, JUnit, Test Driven Development, and Patterns for Software Development.
