Doug Leone, Sequoia Capital
Doug Leone focuses on investments in the software and systems sectors. In addition to Agitar, he is also a director of Aruba, inCode, Metreo, Certus, and CafePress.com. Doug is also responsible for Sequoia Capital's investment in Rackspace and Netezza. Previously, he had been a director of Abrizio (acquired by PMC-Sierra, PMCS), Assured Access (acquired by Alcatel), RightWorks (acquired by i2), Sentient Networks (acquired by Cisco, CSCO), Hyperion (HYSL) (previously named Arbor Software), International Network Services (acquired by Lucent, LU), Infinity International (acquired by Sungard, SDS), Scient (SCNT), Rhapsody (acquired by Brocade, BRCD), VA Software (LNUX), as well as the Chairman of Shomiti (acquired by Finisar Corporation). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1988, Doug held sales and sales management positions at Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, and Prime Computer. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, an M.S. in industrial engineering from Columbia University, and an M.S. in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Peter Morris, New Enterprise Associates
Peter specializes in information technologies with a focus on communications, electronics, and software infrastructure. In addition to Agitar, his active portfolio companies include Force10 Networks and Tele Atlas. Past investments include Accelerated Networks (Occam), Alteon WebSystems (Nortel), Berkeley Networks (FORE Systems), Carrier Access, Clarify (Nortel), Cybermedia (Network Associates), Cyras Systems (CIENA), Fibex Systems (Cisco), Gadzoox, iAsiaWorks, Juniper Networks, Packeteer, Troika Networks and Virata (Globespan). Prior to joining NEA in 1992, he was a general manager at Telebit, and prior to that he was with Montgomery Securities and Bain and Co. Peter received his master’s in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Venky Ganesan, Globespan Capital
Venky is a managing director based in Globespan’s Palo Alto office where he focuses on enterprise software and infrastructure investments. His active portfolio consists of investments in Agitar, Exeros, Fogbreak, Nominum, Plaxo, Sendia, and Steelwedge. Prior to Globespan, Venky was a vice president of JAFCO Ventures where he focused on enterprise software investments. Prior to founding Trigo Technologies (IBM), Venky was an associate in JAFCO's Boston office where he envisioned the idea behind Trigo and where the company was incubated at the time of inception. As cofounder and COO of Trigo Technologies, Inc. Venky played an integral role in helping the company take the leadership position in the product information management space. Previously, Venky worked with McKinsey & Co. in their Los Angeles and Johannesburg offices. He also was a program manager at Microsoft's Encarta group. Venky received degrees in computer science, math, and economics from both the California Institute of Technology and Reed College.
Jerry Rudisin - Agitar CEO and President
