Agitar's Enterprise Developer Testing Technology Wins Two Additional Industry Awards
Agitator Continues Winning Streak, Extending its Lead in Bringing Automation to Developer Testing
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 13, 2006—Agitar Software, the leader in enterprise developer testing, today announced that it has won both the AlwaysOn Top 100 Private Company and the SD Times 100 awards for the second consecutive year. These are the fifth and sixth industry awards that Agitar has won in the last eight months, including a first-ever award for a software development tool from the Wall Street Journal.
Agitar was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial panel based on a set of five criteria - technology innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.
Agitar and the AO100 will be honored at the AO2006: Stanford Summit, July 25-27, 2006 at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, Calif. It will bring together successful entrepreneurs, business and political thought leaders, and top venture capitalists to spot trends and spark new ideas and initiatives.
The AO100 was selected from over 1,000 companies, peer-nominated by leading venture capitalists, investment bankers and industry analysts. The AO100 consists of private companies at all stages of development, from early to late stage.
"The AO100 companies are driving the next wave of innovative technologies that are disrupting the old guard and shaping the new media landscape," said Tony Perkins, founder of AlwaysOn. "As ever, we were inundated with nominations from leading companies, and it’s heartening to know that tomorrow’s thought leaders and technology visionaries are already out there. My congratulations to each AO100 winner - these are the companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year."
A full list of all the AO100 companies can be found on the AlwaysOn website at: http://stanfordsummit.goingon.com/permalink/post/866.
The June 1 issue of SD Times named Agitar a winner in the "Test, QA & Performance Management" category. The editors applauded new advances in Agitator that help developers find bugs that other tools can’t identify as they write their code.
"I'm extremely proud of the impact Agitator has made in the market in just three years," said Agitar CEO Jerry Rudisin. "Agitar has won nearly every industry award—often multiple times. Experts recognize that Agitator is a unique, innovative software solution that helps developers noticeably improve software quality. But what matters even more is customer acceptance based on the results they see: substantial reductions in development effort and up to 90 percent reduction in the cost of bugs."
The latest release of Agitator and Agitator Management Dashboard includes Domain Experts, a breakthrough that improves a developer’s ability to test in mission-critical application environments such as J2EE, Struts, Hibernate and Spring. Developers using Domain Experts save time and produce higher quality, more robust code through automated developer testing, the practice where software developers validate software quality at the time they write the code.
"The winners of this year’s SD Times 100 awards have demonstrated their leadership in shaping the software development industry," said David Rubinstein, Editor-in-Chief of SD Times. "We took into account each nominee’s products and services, its reputation among development managers, and the new ideas it brought out. These select individuals and organizations are the ones we’ve identified as helping to move the art of development forward."
The 4th Annual SD Times 100 was published in the June 1, 2006, issue of BZ Media’s SD Times (www.sdtimes.com), the twice-monthly newspaper of record for the software development industry. Agitar also won the SD Times 100 last year in the "Test & Performance" category. More information about this year’s SD Times 100 is at http://www.sdtimes.com/static/sdtimes100-06-02.html.
